Touch and Heal Therapy

Prevention is Preferable To a Cure

Fitness and massage are foremost in keeping our bodies healthy. With personal training you will learn individualized strength-building and cardiovascular exercises to keep you feeling your best. Massage will help you feel better both physically and mentally and help prevent common injuries.

Here are a few tips to make working on your PC or laptop at home more comfortable:

1. Chair Height: Low enough for feet to rest on the floor, even when extended. If need be, use a foot rest. Not sitting at 90 degrees puts excessive pressure on the spine.

2. Wrists: Keep them straight.

3. Keyboard Distance/Height/Angle: Try to keep forearms supported and wrists straight. Work surface may need to be higher than elbow height. Laptop may be lower than elbows. Keyboard angle, same plane as forearms. For those using a mouse, closer to the keyboard is best.

4. Display: We see best in middle distance, 10-15 degrees below horizontal. When looking straight ahead, the top of the laptop is even with your chin. Having the computer as far away as possible and still read relaxes the eyes.

5. Good Lighting: Watch for glare. You will end up squinting, which can lead to headaches.
